ABOUT PBS

PBS (Polybutylene Succinate) is a thermoplastic  polymer and is mainly produced by the condensation polymerization of petrochemical succinic acid and butanediol (BDO). PBS is a biodegradable aliphatic polyester that decomposes naturally into water and CO2. PBS has excellent mechanical properties and processability; it is suitable for various molds with the use of conventional processing equipment. In addition, PBS has better heat resistance performance than other biodegradable polymers. In general, it is very similar to PET and PP. For these reasons and more, PBS is suitable for a wide range of end applications.                             [citation T2.32]
